A Glimpse Into Architecture: Sahra Assadi's Internship Experience at Scales Architects

02.10.2024

From September 16, 2024, Sahra Assadi, a 10th grader from IGS Badenstedt in Hannover, joined our team for a two-week internship. Passionate about architecture, she wanted to see what it’s really like to work in the field. Here’s what she had to say:

  • What was your impression of architecture after two weeks here?
“It was really cool! I got to see how architects actually work, and it was way more interesting than I thought.”
  • Why did you enjoy it?
“I liked using my imagination, especially when we were drawing and making models. It felt creative.”
  • What was your favorite part?
“Definitely drawing facades and building models. At first, understanding the 2D plans was a bit tricky, but once I figured it out, it got easier and more fun.”
  • How would you describe the office environment?
“Everyone was super friendly and always helped me out if I didn’t get something. It felt really relaxed, and I’d for sure tell my friends to come here if they’re into architecture.”
  • Did this experience confirm your interest in studying architecture?
“For sure! I used to just think about how cool buildings look, but now I know how you can design them, plan them out, and even build models. It’s something I really want to keep doing.

We’re glad Sahra had such a great time with us. At Scales Architects, we don’t just focus on serious work—we believe in teamwork, and that the process should be fun, hands-on, and creative!
