This project focuses on the architectural enhancement of a heritage-listed urban villa located on Wiehbergstraße in the Hannover-Wülfel district, through the addition of new balconies and an external staircase.
The villa is part of a historically significant streetscape, and any intervention required a careful balance between functional improvement and the preservation of cultural value. From the early stages, the project was developed with close attention to the architectural language of the original building and its urban surroundings.
A key challenge was the coordination with various municipal and heritage protection authorities. Through open dialogue, detailed documentation, and respectful design strategies, the proposed interventions were reviewed and positively received by all involved institutions.
The successful granting of the building permit confirms the quality of the process and the mutual trust established between planners, authorities, and stakeholders.
We are proud to contribute to the ongoing life of this architectural gem by adding a subtle but meaningful upgrade — a new level of use, comfort, and spatial quality that honors its past while opening it up to the future.
